Our Early Years Professional Skills Bootcamps are free, highly interactive training provision, giving participants the opportunity to build up sector-specific knowledge and skills to confidently enter the Early Years sector.
Our Skills Bootcamps are designed with flexibility and remote accessibility, so learners can participate in the sessions from the comforts of their own home or any suitable place that they choose. Additionally, the course provides participants with the opportunity to progress onto an Accelerated L3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship with an employer.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be offered an interview with an employer.

Who Should Enrol
The Early Years Professional Skills Bootcamps are designed for anyone looking to enter a career in the sector. This includes:
- Aspiring Early Years educators first starting out
- Career changers entering the sector
- Support or volunteer roles looking to progress into Early Years roles
Eligibility Criteria
You must meet ALL of the criteria below to be eligible for the Skills Bootcamps:
- 19 years of age or older
- Resident of Hertfordshire, Norfolk or Suffolk Counties
- Resident in the UK for the past three years
- Hold no similar qualifications

What you will learn:
- The fundamentals of child development
- How to create engaging and inclusive environments
- Effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues
- The planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities
- Behaviour management techniques
- Health, safety, and welfare in Early Years settings
- Employability workshops & interview preparation with Early Years specialist and employers
- Start dates: September 2024 and February 2025
- Duration: 12-week training programme
- Time commitment: One 5-hour session per week
- Mode of delivery: Online
- Certification: You will receive a course completion certificate detailing the learning you have achieved aligned to an Accelerated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard.
- Employer Engagement: During the course of the progamme, you will have the opportunity to connect with top hiring employers with vacancies in the Early Years sector.
