Apprentice Arborist
Apprentices will work alongside our teams of arborists and landscape operatives on a broad range of live job sites.
You’ll be tasked with basic jobs while you find your feet. As your confidence builds and your capabilities increase, you will be given more responsibility, and you will be expected you to use your initiative.
Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance, care, andremoval of trees and shrubs.
- Learn to identify tree species and assesstheir health and safety.
- Perform pruning, trimming, and planting oftrees under supervision.
- Safely operate and maintain equipment suchas chainsaws, wood chippers, and climbinggear. (These tickets will be providedthroughout the apprenticeship)
- Assist with tree climbing and aerial liftoperations.
- Learn and follow industry safety standardsand procedures.
- Clean up job sites, including the removal ofdebris and wood.
- Support the arborist team in diagnosing treediseases, pests, and other health concerns.Requirements:
- A genuine interest in tree care and theenvironment.• Willingness to learn and work outdoors invarying weather conditions.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Basic understanding of tools and machinery(training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and a safetyconscious mindset.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).

- GCSE grade 3 Maths and English or equivalent desired but not essential
- A genuine interest in the arborist industry
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices
