Summary

  • To help set up and pack away play equipment.
  • To teach children through play, the Early years foundation stage curriculum.
  • To support children with special educational needs.
  • Indoor and outside play.
  • Plan activities for the children.
  • Support own key children.
  • Complete children’s learning journeys and assessments.
  • Training to comply with Ofsted regulations.
  • Work with children ages between 9 months and 4 years.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade 4 and above desired but not essential.

Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 2.

Little Buddies Preschool

Little Buddies Pre-School is a small, friendly group. We aim to support parents/carers, the children and their families who are all welcome in our group. Our aim is to provide a caring, loving, happy, stimulating environment to enhance and support all our children’s interests and abilities. All our regular staff, volunteers and students have had a Criminal Records Bureau check. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced in Early Years, 7 are First Aid trained and regularly attend training sessions to update their qualifications. Little Buddies Pre School is Ofsted registered and offers the Early Education Grant, which offers funded places to eligible 9 month olds, two, three and four year olds. We operate a key person system, which provides a link between parent/carer, their child and a specific staff member. The children are offered free time and space to explore and learn at their own pace, supported by understanding adults, in secure areas both inside and outdoors on a daily basis. We are full inclusive setting have experience and welcome children with additional needs.
