Mental Health Awareness Week 2020

Free events and interactive workshops to help our community
15 May 2020

At Central YMCA, we have always believed that to create true opportunities for individuals to thrive we need to work with the whole person. At Central YMCA, we create opportunities for individuals to grow and thrive by working with the whole person. In 1891, this philosophy was captured by the red triangle. The three equal sides representing the mind, body and spirit, which came together to complete a balanced individual.

Society has seen a huge rise in the number of people who suffer from mental health issues, that’s why raising awareness through Mental Health Awareness Week is important.

Leading a healthy lifestyle, learning new skills, meeting likeminded people and being connected to a community all play a vital part in being and feeling well. That’s why we champion the holistic approach to prevention and recovery – and have been doing so for over 175 years.

To mark this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we will be running a series of free events and interactive workshops to help our community to reduce stress and enhance wellbeing.
