Central YMCA and Bridge of Hope Careers

We’ve partnered with Bridge of Hope Careers to break down barriers and create a more diverse and inclusive workspace.

We’ve always held a strong belief that the more diversity you have in the workforce, the better.

By employing people from a variety of different backgrounds, you gain new perspectives and make room for more breakthroughs when it comes to ideas and creativity.

Breaking down barriers

Unfortunately, the hiring system isn’t always equitable, and well-qualified candidates are sometimes overlooked due to factors like race, religion, age, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, previous convictions, homelessness, or mental illness.

We're passionate about people's development and believe that everyone should get a chance to accomplish their career goals regardless of their background. After connecting with Bridge of Hope Careers, we discovered they're on the exact same page as us! They feel just as strongly as we do when it comes to equity, diversity, and inclusion, which is why we're so excited about this new partnership.

Introducing Bridge of Hope Careers

Bridge of Hope Careers is an organisation that connects potential employees with companies who are looking to hire a more diverse workforce. They work alongside charities and educational institutions to find great candidates, and job seekers can also register directly through the Bridge of Hope website.

When one of their partner companies has new roles available, Bridge of Hope shares them with job seekers from their talent pool who may be a good fit. It's a win-win for both the companies and the candidates!

Combining our strengths

Where we have a training background, Bridge of Hope specialises in the recruitment side. Together, we want to make every step of the employment process as inclusive as possible and end the stigmas millions of workers face that may get in the way of them accomplishing their goals. Our ultimate aim is to create a future where diversity is celebrated, equity is embedded, and inclusion is our collective strength!

In partnership with Bridge of Hope Careers, we’ll be running workshops in which experts will lead talks about creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. Diversity in the workplace benefits everyone, so we want to equip other businesses and hiring managers with the knowledge they need to take that next step forward.
