Arborist Apprenticeship Level 2 (SW8)
You will complete an Apprenticeship in Arboriculture - Level 2 Arborist.
You will spend your time carrying out all appropriate arboriculture and grounds maintenance operations under close supervision with work based training.
Summary
- Carrying out all appropriate arboriculture and grounds maintenance operations under close supervision.
- Under supervision, operating all machinery, tools and equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, and in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and with due regard to Health and Safety and Safe Systems of Work, assist with basic tree inspections/surveys and learn how to safely and appropriately use chainsaws, climb, fell and dismantle trees and undertake aerial work.
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Maths and English Grade 3 desirable but not essential
- Enthusiastic, hard working and enjoys working outdoors
- Experience in grounds maintenance would be an advantage but not essential
- A full clean UK driving licence is desirable as operatives may be required to operative ride-on mowers and drive company vehicles / tow trailers
- Age 18 years or above
