Eudaimonia! Good ideas for living well
What are latest innovations in wellbeing? What could the gym of the future look like? What can we put into practice now? In partnership with The School of Life, we’ve invited some of the brightest philosophers, psychologists, designers, entrepreneurs and medical professionals – including Charles Leadbeater and Alain de Botton – to discuss how we could live better in 21st century London.
In this TEDx-style event, we'll be exploring our understanding of wellbeing and how this word keeps evolving. We'll look at factors beyond health and fitness, such as social inclusion, employment, our environment, access to healthcare and economic stability.
As pioneers in the wellbeing of London since 1844 our core purpose has always been about the mind, body and spirit – but what does it really mean to live well in the 21st century? And what more could we do? We want to continue to invest in the city's future.
This event launches a longer period of investigation and will be followed up by further activity where we hope to answer these questions and come up with practical solutions.
