This 'Introduction to Mindfulness' interactive workshop will explain the benefits of mindfulness and how developing this skill can improve your overall well-being.
Adapted from Buddhist mindfulness meditation, mindfulness is a form of self-awareness training. The practice involves being aware of what is happening in the present; without making judgments about what we notice. As we often find ourselves ruminating about past events or worrying about the future, mindfulness can help bring our focus back to the present moment. Evidence has shown that mindfulness can help with mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
