The results of our report are interesting and informative, and we hope that they’ll provide some much-needed food for thought for policy makers and those working with young people across the UK.
World of Good report – what problems do young people face today?
Our 2016 report explores the biggest challenges facing young people in the UK.

Here at Central YMCA, we’ve been helping young people improve their lives for over 170 years. As you can imagine, it's a task that needs to evolve with each new generation.
So to better understand how our organisation (and others) can best support young people today we carried out a survey. It asked 1600 young people – and those working with them on a daily basis – what the challenges were that they faced.
Our findings, set out in the World of Good report (below), provide valuable food for thought and raise questions about where to direct resources and which issues to prioritise.
It revealed the biggest causes of harm to young people in Britain today include failing to succeed within the education system, a lack of employment opportunities, and issues related to body image.
